Last week I was in Salt Lake all week while Hubby took the bar (It's over!!!!!!!). The weekend I was there, basically my whole family came and we had a campout/family reunion. It was so much fun to see everyone! 17 of 20 of my parents' grandchildren were there, and it was amazing to see how much some of them have grown. My brother Dude's wife's family has a cabin near where we camped, so I cheated and slept there instead of in a tent. We also had dinner there and played Dude's WII. I was terrible at taking pictures (shame on me) so you'll just have to imagine it all.
I just have to say, I can't believe how distinctive Utah is. Well, I can believe it, but I tend to forget it when I've been gone for awhile. You walk off the plane and you can just tell you're in Utah. Then you start driving and you REALLY know you're in Utah (hehehehehe). Sweets and I had a great time though. She started to say "Ampa" (Grandpa) and "Amma" (Grandma) by the end of our trip, but I haven't heard her say it since. She also enjoyed making friends with the cat, although he seemed very weary of her and kept his distance unless I was around. She was really gentle with him, which surprised me. No pulling or slapping. We also got to go to Provo to see a couple friends and Uncle David. That was really nice.
So, I think I said I'll tell you all about the car. While Hubby was on his way home from the bar, he thought he'd take the back way through the mountains to clear his head. Well, apparently the deer had a different idea. Yes, he hit a deer that was jumping out of the road. It shattered the windshield and made a dent in the hood and roof. Thank goodness the engine was okay. He stalled the car to see if the deer was okay (it was) and when he got back the battery was dead. So he had to wait for the next car to come and give him a jump and then drive home with a broken windshield. He took it in to get fixed (thank goodness insurance covered it) and now we're patiently waiting for it to return to us. There's nothing like losing a car to realize how much you depend on it.
What great adventures!

Wow, I can't believe hubby hit a deer. Scary at the time, fun to laugh about it the future. I hope you get your car back soon, its too easy to become dependent on it with kids around. Oh, and CONGRATS on getting the bar done! Yay for no more school.
