Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Wow. Where has the year gone? Honestly, it has just flown by. We had a wonderful Christmas. (My camera cord is still mysteriously missing, so no pictures yet...) Most of my family came over Christmas Eve for dinner and program (reading Christmas story and singing carols). We had such a wonderful time visiting with everyone and playing with cousins. I convinced Sweets that night to go to sleep so Santa could come. And it really helped! I was up late that night helping Santa finish all his preparations. Christmas morning was wonderful. The girls had so much fun opening their presents. After we'd open one, they wouldn't want to put that new thing down to open another one. Overall, it was a wonderful day. Thanks to grandparents, the girls got a fruitful Christmas.

A new year is just a couple days away. It's made me think about this last year. It's been a hard year. My SIL calls unemployment "funemployment" (her husband was out of a job for awhile too). As positive as that tries to make it, it really isn't any fun. But I've also learned so much. I've realized that life sucks sometimes. But when life sucks, the Lord is there. Also, I have truly come to appreciate the wonderful friends that I have. Thank you all who commented on my last post. Just you being willing to give me advice and your collective prayers really kicked me out of my rut. We're still without work. No interviews in sight. But we have wonderful friends and family. That's worth all the riches in the world. And God has not forgotten us. He's just got the bigger picture in mind and all will follow HIS time, not mine.

I am truly blessed.

Glad to hear that you are doing better. I had to laugh at the comment I left you in your last post. Screaming into a pillow? Well...you do what works. Right?

I just wanted to wish you and Jon the very best for a fabulous 2010. It will be a good one.

Here is a clip for you...
