Christmas and New Year Catch-Up

My apologies to all my loyal readers. I hope you stay loyal, despite my inability to write more frequently. Life with two children leaves less spare time than I thought. Or at least spare time for writing on blogs. I know I've been reading a lot lately, so blame the books, or Sweets, or whatever. I will try and get you up-to-date with everything that's been going on.

Christmas was wonderful. We stayed here in Virginia, no family, just us. Sweets got so many gifts. That wasn't planned. Friends continued to shower her with things, so she got a good haul. One of her favorites is a play kitchen with dishes and everything. She pretends to cook and likes to get the dishes and pans everywhere. Bumpkin (our second daughter will be called this from now on) just kept her eyes wide and took everything in. Hubby got me a Flip Video, a digital video recorder, and I love it. I'll try and post some videos along with pictures from now on, if I can figure out how to do that. Hubby enjoyed his books I got him (A Dangerous Book for Boys and the Dark Is Rising series). Christmas Day we delivered goodies to friends in the area and had a great time.

New Years was spent with friends. Both New Years Eve and New Years Day found us with good friends and LOTS of good food. I decided not to really make any official resolutions this year. I'm really bad at keeping them. I just figured I'll work on the task at hand and continue working on the goals I've set for myself.

Now for some pictures:

Sweets with her laundry basket over her head. She was walking around with it and I thought it was so funny, I couldn't help but take a picture of it.
Sweets and Bumpkin in their matching Christmas dresses. This was the best picture I could get of them together, as Sweets wanted to be behind the camara. She just wouldn't sit still. Oh well.
What a cute family I have! Plus, I've learned that you CAN glue things to babies' heads. Oh joy!
Sweets got into the paper towels. So instead of throwing them away, I made her this dress.
My two beautiful girls.

There is a picture I wanted to share, but I thought better of it. Sweets would kill me if she found out (at least she would when she's older). It probably isn't appropriate, but it's hilarious. I'll just describe it to you. Sweets has found interest in the potty, and we bought her a little training potty. One night, after her bath, she sat on it, naked, picked up a book, and proceeded to "read" on the potty. I about died of laughter.
