What I Missed

My last post had a lot, but I realized I skipped a few things. First, the pictures of Halloween. I stopped being lazy and here are a couple of Sweets:
After trick-or-treating.

Next, as a reward for my selflessness and my endurance through the past three years (school and bar study), Hubby bought me an iPod Touch. It is a wonderful plaything. I absolutely love it! I use it not only to listen to music, but to use the Internet and keep track of all my activities and such. It's wonderful.

Last Saturday we drove up to Antietam, a Civil War battlefield in Maryland. It was the bloodiest one-day battle of the war. It is always humbling to go to these battlefields. It always makes me think how horrible war is and how much I appreciate those who gave their lives for my freedom. We found out that during part of the battle, if the Confederate army had attacked at that point only 15 minutes later, they would have been defeated and it would probably have been enough to push them back and end the war. But, because of those 15 minutes, the war continued for 2 more years. Amazing. The saddest part was that no ground was gained or lost by the end of the battle. The Union had gained ground, but lost it by the end of the day. 23,000+ died in a stalemate. Makes you think.

On a happier note, here's a picture of Sweets on the swing yesterday. It was too perfect not to post.

Stay tuned. Very soon I'm going to show you all one of the main reasons I love living in Virginia.

Love the swing picture! It is a classic.
Sounds like Antietam was worth the drive. We never made it up but wanted to.
Can't wait to see the next pic!
