Hubby's parents came to visit a couple weekends ago. It was so good to have them here. Sweets loved the extra attention (are you surprised?) and was sad to see them go. I was too. It was nice to have the extra help around the house and we had fun taking them around DC (we went on a tour of the capital) and to Shenandoah (even though it was raining).
The main reason for their visit was Hubby was sworn-in before the Supreme Court of Virginia last Monday. He is now an official member of the Virginia Bar. He's completely legit. Let me tell you, it's a wonderful feeling! No more school, no more tests; just searching for jobs and normal life. It feels so good to be done. The swearing-in was in Richmond, so we got to leave Sweets with a friend all day. She's wasn't too happy, but it was wonderful not having to worry about her running all over the place.
Last Tuesday I went to the Emergency room. Don't worry, I'm okay. They diagnosed me with dehydration. It was a pain though. Thank goodness it was nothing serious; I had to wait forever to see a doctor. I got there around 2:00 pm and didn't leave until around 10 pm. What a mess. Of course, now Sweets is uber-clingy. Two days being dropped off at a friend's house without Mom for hours was a little much.
I hate re-registering the car. You really don't want to know that story.
Halloween was a lot of fun. We went to a little party in the morning, and Sweets had fun playing with the other kids. Then we went trick-or-treating with some friends that night. Sweets got a lot of candy. She was apprehensive at first, but by the end she liked knocking on the doors and receiving the praise. See, she was dressed as an angel (minus the halo) and everyone just thought she was the cutest thing. We were with friends who live in a pretty affluent neighborhood and we got so many full-sized candy bars it was nuts! Hubby and I have had fun "helping" Sweets eat her Halloween candy. I'll post pictures of her in her costume later. They're still on my camera and I'm being lazy.
First day of nursery was Sunday! She was okay until she saw her daddy in the hallway, then we had to go in and be with her the rest of the time. I think it was just such a hard week for her. Hopefully next Sunday will go over a little better.
3 1/2 weeks and counting...
Voting today was interesting. I know that my vote doesn't count very much (if at all) but it felt good to do my civic duty.

Congratulations to ALL of you...!!!
You are an adorable prego-lady...
and your little one is ADORABLE! I can't believe she's growing up so fast!! I want she and Robyn to see each other... it would be a lot of fun to see them play!!
Congratulations to you all. What a huge step in the journey of life. Are you wanting to stay where you are living-wise?
Do you know what you are having this time around?
I can't believe how much your little one has grown. She's already in nursery?!
Congrats all around! And I can't believe you only have three and a half weeks to go (although I'm sure you certainly can!).
Yea!! I love the picture of you and of Sweets.
My hubby is flying into DC tomorrow and will be there for the weekend. You might see him on Sunday at church. He's being sworn into the DC Bar on Friday. I wish I could have come but the tickets were too expensive.
Good luck with the next three weeks. Miss you tons!
