A Really Long Week

I have a lot to write and update, so bear with me. It's been a very busy time, as I'm sure you can imagine.

Last Saturday, my hubby graduated from law school! I was so excited for him! And for myself, if I'm being honest. Law school is long, and hard, and hopefully worth all the trouble. Part of me felt like I was graduating myself. The ceremony was great, except that Sweets started to loose it at the end (she was tired and refused to fall asleep until AFTER the ceremony). It felt so good to watch Hubby cross the stage. Here's a pic of the grad with Sweets:

My in-laws came out to visit, and it was wonderful to have Grandma and Grandpa be here to spoil us all. We also took the opportunity to take new family photos. I ended up hugging a tree, and learned my lesson by getting pollen all over me. No wonder why tree huggers are so dirty...(he he he)

The day of graduation we had a party to celebrate. A good friend of ours acquired a keg of root beer, we provided the food, and lots of friends showed up. It was a great time to talk and unwind from the past year (or three). I realized how much I like it here, and hope we stay for awhile. Hubby did a keg stand (upside down on the keg with root beer being sprayed continuously into the mouth). Oh, the initiation into lawyerhood... After the party, we took the grandparents and Sweets home to bed and we went out to a movie, Prince Caspian. Very good. It had a lot of battles and took a little more liberty with the storyline from the book than the first movie did. Peter and Edmund could actually wield a sword better, thank goodness, and the new cast was great to watch. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who liked the first one.

Life has returned to normal. Hubby goes to work now and has to study for the bar, so things really don't feel too different yet. I went shopping with a friend to the thrift store the other day and got some great deals on baby stuff. David Cook won American Idol, surprisingly. I'm so happy, cuz he was my favorite and I totally thought the teens would turn out for Archuleta. Oh well, you never can predict anything. Sweets had her checkup with the doctor and is still on track of being her tall, skinny self. She still calls me by my name most of the time, a habit we're strongly trying to break.

Well, I think that's it. Now, the trek to the bar exam begins...
