Hillary Clinton's New Low

So is Hilary Clinton really stupid, or is she just saying stuff because it sounds good? She's been pushing a gas tax holiday, but then proposing to "pay" for it by taxing the gas companies, "because they can afford it." (That's an actual quote from her that I heard on the news the other day.) Now, don't get me wrong. The price of gas is hurting my wallet along with everyone else. But what Clinton is proposing is absolute nonsense. Doesn't she understand basic economics, or just basic business? If you decrease the gas tax by 18 cents, then turn around and tax the gas company an additional 18 cents, how much do you think the prices at the pump will go up? You guessed it. 18 cents. My hubby and I were having fun with this the other night. I pretended I was someone of the Hilary vein: "Big companies are bad! How dare they make a profit! We should make them pay for being successful! Redistribute wealth, because we all know that socialism (or even communisim) is a much better answer than capitalism!" We had a good laugh.
