It feels like it's been forever since I last posted. I've had a friend in town this week and I've kept us all busy. We went into DC the other day and spent the day walking and seeing all the monuments and stuff. I got sunburned on my arms (ouch!) but we had a lot of fun. Sweets had fun being pushed in the stroller everywhere, and made everyone who saw her fall in love with her.
We've discovered why Sweets doesn't call me Mama. A couple days ago, during breakfast, she distinctly said my name. I turned to my hubby and we decided that we need to call each other Mom and Dad in front of her from now on. Apparently, my name is a lot easier to say than mama. She's also decided that walking is the better thing to do and only crawls when walking just can't get it done (mostly when there are too many things to trip over). Her one year birthday is just a week and a half away. Man, time goes fast.
Hubby's last day of class is Monday, then finals, then law school is officially over! Can I be any happier (not really). These last three years have been such a roller coaster, and I'm glad to be done with it all.

I'm so glad you had the opportunity to go down to the Mall with your friend. It's just something that needs to be done at least once every year.
And I think it's funny that Sweets called you by your name and not Mama. Good luck with that change. It's a great story though!
