December

December was a great month. There was a lot that happened. My new daughter was one of them. I'm trying to come up with her blog name; so far I'm drawing a blank. Anyway, I realized I hadn't posted on all the wonderful goings on, so here goes.

My beautiful Bumpkin turned two on the 5th. Two! I can still hardly believe it! Here she is in all her pretty glory:
She had been asking for an Elmo cake for weeks. Then, about a week before the big day, she changed her mind. She wanted Dora. So I made a Dora cake:
She had a wonderful time eating cake. We invited some friends over as well and had a great time. Bumpkin is wonderful to have around. She's so happy and her smile is infections. She looks up to her big sister and has really loved becoming a big sister herself. She has such a sweet spirit. I love her and feel privileged to be her mom.

Then it was hubby's birthday. We weren't able to do much on his birthday, but the next Friday his mom was in town and we went on a date. We went to dinner and saw Voyage of the Dawn Treader. It was so nice to get out!

My MIL came and the girls were in heaven. So was I. Although I wasn't too big with this baby, I sure did feel it. It was nice to have an extra set of hands around the house. Especially when these things happen:

Then I had a baby.

Christmas was magical. The girls loved the Christmas tree and all their presents. There was only a minimum of fighting with a couple, but overall they are sharing beautifully. We were able to visit some friends as well. I've been recovering very well, so we've been getting out. It was wonderful to continue our Christmas tradition on making treat plates and taking them to friends. It was good to see some friends we hadn't seen in awhile.

Before my MIL left, we were able to take some family photos. Here are my favorites:

Merry Christmas! And Happy New Year!
